Competition Rules & Format

The Main Goal

Climb as many routes as you can within your session.

Scoring is based on route difficulty using a mysterious little algorithm we absolutely refuse to reveal. Just pure sends.

ONLY TOPS COUNT

No penalties for failed attempts.
No bonus points for flashes or onsights.
No “almost.”

You either send… or you don’t.

Unlimited attempts permitted.

What is a VALID TOP?

A climb counts only if ALL of the following are true:

• You climb the route from bottom to top
• Both hands establish properly on the starting holds before leaving the ground
• No hanging, sitting, weighting, or “just one second bro” moments
• The final hold must be controlled with BOTH hands for 3 Mississippi’s
• Use ONLY the holds of the route’s assigned colour

Touching another colour hold is sacrilege and the attempt does not count.

If the rope is held too tight by your belayer and the rope takes any part of your weight, the climb does not count.
Even if it wasn’t your fault.
Even if nobody saw it.
Even if your conscience says “technically…”

Also: don’t hog the rope. Everyone deserves a chance to climb, fall dramatically, and redeem themselves.

This is a self-judged competition. Your scorecard is your character. The app is the final word.

Difficulty Categories

You compete ONLY against climbers in the category you signed up for, even if there's only 1 leaderboard visible:

• Beginner
• Intermediate
• Advanced

You may climb routes outside of your category as well. After all, you wanna rake in as many points as possible. But remember:
Lower grade = lower points
Higher grade = higher points

Also… if you’re comfortably climbing routes way above your category, we’ll know you chose the wrong category. ;-) We’re smart.

Logging Ascents

  • Log your climbs IMMEDIATELY after each successful TOP.
  • The competition auto-closes in the app after 120 minutes.
No late entries. No “I forgot.” No emotional support appeals.
  • In case of technical or scoring disputes, the organiser’s decision is final. Yes, Kunal is the supreme-leader.

Leaderboard

  • The live leaderboard will remain visible for the first 90 minutes, its common for all categories, so it's not the final word.

Then it disappears during the last 30min. Why?

  • Because panic, suspense, bad math, and dramatic final pushes are part of the experience.

Prizes

  • Top-scoring MALE and FEMALE climbers in each category win prizes, glory, and enough ego-fuel to float for at least a few business days.

The Real Rule

  • The strongest climber is not just the one who climbs the hardest.
  • It’s the one who calls it honestly and has the most fun along the way. And all that jazz…
